1. Purpose and use
Highlands Jeopardy is a learning tool for Highlands Community Charter & Technical Schools, powered by Highlands Brain. These terms describe acceptable use of the app. School technology and conduct policies also apply. If you need help understanding these terms or an alternative way to participate, ask your teacher.
2. Accounts and classroom access
Use only your own authorized school Google account. Do not share passwords, sign-in sessions, or class access with unauthorized people. Teachers control lesson selection, classroom hosting, and optional guest access. A class code does not grant teacher permissions. Solo and shared-screen practice can be used without signing in.
3. Respectful and safe participation
- Use a team name or appropriate nickname. Do not impersonate someone else.
- Do not submit harassment, threats, hateful content, sexually explicit material, or private information about yourself or another person.
- Do not try to bypass permissions, disrupt a class, manipulate requests or scores, or access someone else’s information.
- Do not place passwords, student records, health details, or other sensitive information in questions, answers, or AI lesson notes.
- Tell your teacher about inappropriate content or unexpected access. For urgent help, use the school’s established safety procedures; this game is not monitored as an emergency reporting service.
4. Teacher responsibilities and content
Teachers should review lessons for accuracy and suitability, verify the lobby roster, keep guest access off unless appropriate, and remove unexpected participants before play begins. Use only material you are allowed to share. Share exported class summaries only through school-approved channels with authorized recipients. Projected screens may display participant names and scores.
Optional AI-generated questions are drafts and can contain errors. A staff member must review the board before classroom use. Report incorrect or unsuitable material to your teacher. Game scores support practice; they are not official grades, attendance records, credits, or graduation determinations.
5. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains information used by the app, temporary classroom storage, browser storage, service providers, and contact options. These terms do not waive student privacy rights or replace the school’s required notices or authorizations.
6. Availability and changes
Features depend on browser support, network connectivity, and school service configuration. Access may be interrupted for maintenance, security, or technical issues. The school may restrict misuse through its established procedures. Save a permitted copy of custom question packs when needed; local browser data and temporary classrooms are not permanent archives.
7. Branding and questions
School names, logos, and app materials remain subject to their owners’ rights. The classroom title does not imply sponsorship by a television game show.
